Kirk Fergusson
Vice-President, Corporate Affairs
Mr. Fergusson oversees Infoway's communications activities, specifically media relations, public affairs, conferences and events, marketing communications and internal communications.
Mr. Fergusson brings to the role more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, issues and crisis management, marketing communications and event management in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. Prior to joining Infoway, he was Director, Communications at the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health. Before that, he was Vice-President with Optimum Public Relations (Ottawa) and Director, Marketing Communications and Director, Product Marketing for the Toronto-based wireless financial software firm, 724 Solutions.
The first 11 years of his career were spent with the federal government. Through his time in five federal departments, Mr. Fergusson gained hands-on experience in all areas of corporate communications and public affairs. He provided communications advice and support to senior officials and ministerial staff on a range of files including cross-border smuggling, NAFTA, GST, taxation, small business programs, economic development and Aboriginal and northern affairs.
Mr. Fergusson holds a B.A. in English from the University of Waterloo as well as an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business (University of Western Ontario).
